AI SEO Agency for B2B SaaS and AI Companies
When buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI for a shortlist, we make sure your brand is in it, described accurately and recommended, and we measure the result in trials, demos and pipeline.

SEO for AI search, not just SEO done with AI
“AI SEO” is sold two ways. One is getting cited and recommended by AI assistants. The other is using AI tools to produce SEO work faster and cheaper. The first is the result you pay for; the second is simply how a good team works in 2026. If AI-written content is the only thing a proposal sells, you are paying for speed, not visibility.
“Buy SEO for AI search; expect SEO done with AI tools.”
Eight workstreams. Miss three and it’s a rebranded SEO retainer.
Every engagement covers all eight. How the budget splits between them depends on where your biggest constraint is.
AI visibility baseline
Your brand against named competitors across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI results: who gets recommended, which sources are cited and how you are described.
More →A fixed buyer-prompt set
50 to 100 prompts built from your sales calls, G2 reviews, customer interviews and Search Console queries, run weekly and repeated.
Technical access
robots.txt, CDN and firewall bot rules, server logs and JavaScript rendering, so AI crawlers can actually reach the pages you want cited.
More →Answer-ready commercial pages
Category, comparison, alternative, use-case and integration pages with a direct answer up top, tables and specific facts.
More →Entity and structured data
The same company, product and category facts across your site, review profiles and directories, with schema that matches the visible page.
Off-site authority
Presence on the sources AI answers lean on for B2B software: G2, Reddit threads and 'best X tools' listicles, through digital PR and earned links.
More →Classic SEO foundations
Rankings for the commercial queries AI systems also draw on. AI search is built on the same web Google indexes.
More →Reporting tied to pipeline
AI referrals split out in GA4, a 'How did you hear about us?' field on every form, and both passed into your CRM.
A fixed prompt set, scored on five levels
We track 50 to 100 prompts per client, never a generic list. They come from the words your buyers actually use:
We run the set every week, logged out, and repeat each prompt because answers change from one run to the next. A third-party platform supplements the manual checks, and we never change the prompts to manufacture a better chart. A mention is not a win on its own: each result is scored as mentioned, described accurately, recommended, referred a visit, or converted.
Our own host was blocking ChatGPT
In October 2026 our web host’s bot protection was returning 403 errors to OpenAI’s crawlers: GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User. robots.txt allowed them, Googlebot and PerplexityBot got through, and nothing looked wrong in Search Console. The only clue was the server access log: 54 requests from OpenAI’s published IP ranges, every one blocked, including requests for robots.txt itself.
The fix was not in robots.txt or the CMS. The host had to allow-list the specific firewall rules. So on every engagement we check logs for 403s against AI user agents, not just your robots.txt file.
A baseline in month one. Movement by month three.
For an AI cold-calling assistant, we started in August 2024 and saw the first changes in AI answers about three months later, in line with this plan.
and fixes
citations
comparison
and pipeline
Baseline
Build the prompt set, benchmark mentions, citations and accuracy against 3 to 5 competitors, map the sources AI answers cite, and check crawler access on every host. Output: an AI visibility report and a prioritised plan.
Fix and restructure
Remove crawler and rendering blockers, rework 5 to 10 priority pages (category, solution, comparison, pricing) into answer-ready formats, add structured data where it fits, and clean up brand facts across profiles.
Earn and measure
Start off-site work on the most-cited sources, publish citation-worthy assets such as original data and definitive comparisons, and set up AI referral tracking. Output: first citation gains and an agreed reporting rhythm.
After day 90, the work moves to a monthly rhythm: expanding the prompt set, refreshing priority pages, scaling off-site authority and reporting on visibility and pipeline.
AI search visibility, measured
Markaz, a Y Combinator-backed social commerce company, now has 444 pages cited in AI answers. Two things did most of the work: solid technical foundations so every important page could be crawled, rendered and indexed, and on-page changes that make a page easy to quote, such as a TL;DR at the top, comparison tables and FAQ sections. Broader commercial page coverage, stronger internal links and authoritative external references did the rest.
The cold-calling assistant’s first baseline, against its three closest competitors, showed decent visibility but not the brand recommended first. We had grown its organic search for about two years without a link-building budget, while its rivals were well funded. The gap was off-site authority, not content. Trial growth came from content, organic search, AI referrals and conversion work together, so we don’t credit AI SEO alone.
“Once you go the SEO route the improvement on your CAC, your branching factors and the general improvement in efficiency makes you wonder how you missed it before.”

Without links and references from high-authority websites, it is very hard to build a brand name in AI answers. On-page work can earn you a place in the answer. Authority on other people’s sites decides whether you are the brand recommended first.

What moved AI citations, and what didn’t
The biggest movers were topical authority, links from high-authority websites and digital PR. In B2B software, the sources that turn up most in AI answers are G2, Reddit threads and “best X tools” listicles, so that is where off-site work starts.
llms.txt underdelivered
Publishing the file had little observable effect on AI visibility. We will set it up if you want it; we won't sell it as a strategy.
Schema helped less than claimed
It clarified entities and structure, but on its own it did not noticeably increase citations. We treat it as supporting infrastructure.
Commercial pages beat generic posts
Comparison, alternative, use-case and industry pages produced more useful AI visibility than broad informational content.
Authority decides who is recommended first
On-page work can earn you a place in the answer. Links and mentions from high-authority sites decide whether you are the brand named first.
“GEO is not a shortcut around weak positioning. Technical fixes are foundations. Content, expertise, authority and distribution are what create visibility.”
Who AI SEO is for, and who should wait
A good fit
- B2B SaaS and AI companies whose buyers research in ChatGPT, Perplexity or AI Overviews
- A clear product, audience and category
- An existing SEO and content foundation, even a small one
- Budget for off-site authority as well as content
- Founders or product experts who can give us 30 minutes
Wait, or fix the basics first
- Pre-product-market-fit teams whose category is still moving
- A brand-new site with no core product or commercial pages
- Anyone wanting a guaranteed #1 spot in ChatGPT
- Teams with no budget for links or PR. We have told prospects this directly and advised them not to hire us yet
What we won’t do
- Fake Reddit or community accounts, or posing as customers
- Bought upvotes or incentivised reviews
- Paid placements presented as independent coverage
- Guaranteed mentions or '#1 in ChatGPT'
- Mass-produced AI articles as the core tactic
AI SEO is in every plan
Prices are published. Buyer-prompt tracking is part of every plan: 50 prompts on Launch, 100 weekly on Scale, 200 weekly with AI-accuracy fixes on Control. 12 months paid upfront saves 15%.

AI SEO agency FAQs
What does an AI SEO agency do?
An AI SEO agency gets your brand found, cited and recommended in AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews, as well as ranked in classic search. The work covers an AI visibility baseline, a fixed prompt set, technical crawler access, answer-ready commercial pages, entity consistency, off-site authority and reporting tied to pipeline.
How much do AI SEO services cost?
At Top Search Agency, AI SEO is included in every Pipeline plan: Launch from $3,500 a month, Scale from $7,000 and Control from $12,000, with 15% off for 12 months paid upfront. A fixed-scope GEO Jumpstart is $12,000 over three months. Packages under $1,000 a month are almost always automated content, which is the scaled-content risk you want to avoid.
How long does AI SEO take to work?
Expect a baseline and fixes in the first 30 days, early citations around day 60, a meaningful comparison against the baseline at day 90 and a commercial read at day 180. For one B2B SaaS client we started in August 2024 and saw the first changes in AI answers about three months later.
Is AI SEO different from GEO or AEO?
Mostly the labels differ. AI SEO, GEO, AEO and LLM SEO all describe work to be understood, cited and recommended by AI systems. We run it as part of SEO and content rather than as a separate product, because the foundations are shared.
Can you guarantee we appear in ChatGPT?
No. AI answers vary by platform, model, prompt, user, location and date. We offer a measurable baseline, a prioritised plan and repeated tracking against the same prompts, not guaranteed placement.
How do you know if AI search is bringing leads?
We combine an AI-assistants channel in GA4 with a self-reported 'How did you hear about us?' field on lead forms, and pass both into your CRM. Referral data alone misses buyers who read an AI answer and then search your brand name.
When should we leave an AI SEO agency, including you?
If impressions are not growing by the end of month three, or deliverables are being missed. Rising impressions are the first sign a programme is working; clicks usually follow between months six and twelve.
